AIRPLANTS Airplants are members of the Bromeliad family, to keep them in this country is relatively easy but please remember these are a semi- tropical plant. Airplants can be mounted on bark or pieces of wood. Glues that can be used are UHU, bostic clear or fishtank sealer (silicon rubber) this is what we use ourselves. Keep glue off root base. During the summer months they can be sprayed with any fertiliser but only quarter strength, in good weather spray daily in winter time less often unless kept in a very dry atmosphere, orchid fertiliser is good for this. Do not keep in direct sun or on top of television sets or over radiators also do not let them sit in pools of water.
